How good is your home and your local place? image of some homes

Questionnaire for council tenants and leaseholders

Please tell us what it is really like to live in your home and in your community. The answers you provide will be used to shape how council services will be delivered in collaboration with tenants and leaseholders in the future. The full results will also be shared online so that other services and organisations can find out what we’ve learned and can work with citizens to improve our local places.

It should take between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on the level of detail you would like to share with us. You could win £50 of vouchers in our prize draw.

Useful things to know before you get started...

• You’ll be able to comment on 14 themes. For each, you’ll be asked to score how good you think it is
on a scale from 1 to 7, where 1 means there is a lot of room for improvement and 7 means there is very little room for improvement.

• We would particularly welcome your views on the
'Housing and community' theme, so please complete this section, providing as much detail as possible.

• There is also an opportunity for you to tell us what life is like in your local place and to
comment on things that matter to you and your household.

• It's important that you
fill in your postcode on the final page, so that we know which local place your comments are about.

• Please also
share your email address if you’d like us to get back in touch to share the full results as soon as they are available.

If you need any help completing this questionnaire, please call us on 01484 223219 or email homeandplacefeedback@kirklees.gov.uk

About your home

Housing and community

Kirklees Council’s Cabinet have agreed, in principle, that the housing management and maintenance which is currently done by KNH (Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing) can be joined together with wider Kirklees Council services.
How far do you agree with this?
We would like to hear your views on what it is like to be a council tenant or leaseholder in Kirklees and on the housing services you receive such as repairs, home improvements, rent collection and estate management and maintenance.
Thinking about the housing management service that you currently receive, which of these services do you value most? Select all that apply

Thinking about the future, which of the following services would you like us to do more or less of, or which do you think are about right?
More of Less of About right
 Repairs
 Improvements to your home
 Services for older people
 Services for younger people
 Rent collection
 Family support
 Money advice
 Employment support
 Tenant Involvement
 Environmental maintenance including estate caretaking
Estate management including dealing with anti-social behaviour

Now think about your home and community and ask yourself:

Does my home and community meet my needs?
Rate your home and community on a scale from 1 to 7, where 1 means there is a lot of room for improvement and 7 means there is very little room for improvement.
